Govindabhog mango is an early variety fruit. It starts ripening from the beginning of May and starts appearing in the market. This mango is available in the market until mid-June. However, the prime time for this mango is from May 7 to 30. The shape of the Govindabhog mango is medium and somewhat round. Each mango weighs an average of 263 grams. Its stem is quite thick and strong. The skin is smooth, turning yellow around the stem when ripe, and the lower part remains light green.

Govindabhog mangoes are generally around 8.6 centimetres in length. The width is about 7.5 centimetres, and the height can reach up to 6 centimetres. The skin of the mango is slightly thick, but it is fiberless. The flesh is yellowish, aromatic, juicy, and sweet in taste. The edible portion of this fruit is about 67.2 percent. After peeling, the flesh easily comes off the seed. The sweetness level of this mango is about 11 percent. After being harvested from the tree, the mango can be stored at home for six to eight days. The seed of the Govindabhog mango is thin.
